• Handmade from Indian clay
  • Hand glazed and fired

When we first spoke to the potter four years ago he explained he was fanatical about the local clay because it was full of impurities that when fired burned away, creating hollow bubbles throughout. This, he explained, made cups more heat-retaining and lighter to handle. It sounded quite silly to me in all honesty - but four years on we have become as fanatical as him, and every time we pick up a cup we wonder if they have the same special invisible holes or not.
